Directors Parabella bake a stop motion extravaganza for Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off. If you're familiar with stop motion, you're likely aware it's an intensely time consuming endeavor requiring vast amounts of patience and attention to the meticulous. Throw in the labors of baking on top of the stop motion process, and, well, it's easy to see only slightly offbeat individuals—or, you know, Parabella—would attempt such a burdensome creative feat. The level of R&D that went into this spot was staggering. Tapping the expertise of professional bakers, Parabella created a cast of 335 baked characters, featuring biscuits, cakes, cookies, croissants, and more. They used an incredible 500 eggs, 50kg of flour, and 28kg of sugar along the way. The payoff is a fantastic and surreal journey through a land of singing, dancing, vomiting, and rising delicacies.
