Hornet is seeking a full time Senior Producer to join the team.

The Senior Producer must be meticulous, have the ability to communicate proactively, manage time accordingly based on each project’s specifications & resources, with passion, enthusiasm and the ability to technically & creatively realize the Director’s vision. The staff Senior Producer must be creatively driven, well versed in various types of production management based on Directors’ creative direction, and have the ability to adapt to creative feedback. Successful candidate will have the ability to bid, pitch, and produce projects within the scope of work, budget, effectively provide client care, manage agency and client expectations through communication and effectively manage a team of artists.

The Senior Producer is responsible for overseeing production process, working closely with the Executive Producer, Head of Production, agency and clients from project kick off, working with leads & production teams to determine technical specs, workflow, tracking of all assets, notes, to final quality control and delivery.

Regarding COVID-19:
For our immediate needs, this position will be remote. In the long term, this would be an in office position, primarily out of our Manhattan Studio, but the candidate should be flexible to travel between Manhattan and our Ridgewood Studio location from time to time.

Hornet is seeking a New York based HR Manager to continue building upon a framework for our team’s growth, success and happiness.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing the full cycle HR function within a small to mid-size company, exceling in a dynamic, fast paced environment wearing many hats and taking a very hands on approach to all tasks. They will have no problem with taking ownership of all HR deliverables including helping to guide benefits and performance management, working with payroll, ensuring processes are in place for compliance, assisting with recruitment, onboarding and reviews, maintaining a HRIS system, administering general HR protocols and policies, playing a key role in employee and management training and development, and overseeing best practices with regards to employee relations.

Day to day, you will be active and challenged building a solid HR infrastructure within our rapidly growing environment, but you will lead with a high level of EQ and a natural inclination towards relationship building to nurture a positive employee experience no matter what the situation. Your understanding of business, proactive nature and thoughtful input will help guide management decision making and steer the organization towards continuous improvement, while your proven strengths in people skills and drive for wanting what’s best for the team will naturally help mold an inclusive and thriving company culture.

The Motion Designer would work with our Motion Design Lead on on pitches, jobs and internal project. Candidates must be meticulous, have the ability to communicate proactively, manage time accordingly based on each project’s specifications & resources, with passion, enthusiasm and the ability to technically & creatively realize the Director’s vision. The best candidates must be creatively driven, well versed in executing a wide rand of design styles based on Directors’ creative direction, and have the ability to adapt to creative feedback. Successful candidate will have a positive attitude under stress and be able to work on teams of various sizes.

Hornet is seeking a talented and passionate Designer to join our team!

The ideal candidate must be efficient, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines. But most importantly? They must be completely dedicated to the craft of design—whether it’s motion, illustration, animation, or some other visual-oriented “-ation” between. We want people who will create illustrations and designs that surprise and delight us—and our clients—every time. They must be comfortable working with various design styles and aesthetics, and have a robust understanding of motion and animation. The designer will work alongside our creative team and under the creative guidance of our directors to develop the creative vision of each project.

The role of a CD is to create, plan, and deliver strategic creative vision for our clients. The CD plays a monumental role in selling the vision of a project and ensuring the overall quality of the work we produce is at the standard we demand as a studio.

Ideal candidates should possess the soft sensibilities of an artist combined with the authoritative punch of a creative leader. We want someone with strong people skills, proven management experience, and a dynamic personality who can lead large and small teams of artists, collaborate with directors, bid against complex briefs, and present work to clients confidently and clearly. Candidates should have a strong design background, a creative mind, and unrivaled storytelling skills.

Hornet is seeking an experienced Art Director to join our team!

The ideal candidate should be proficient in design and animation.The Art Director must be meticulous, have the ability to communicate proactively, and manage each project’s specifications & resources with passion, enthusiasm, and the ability to technically & creatively realize the Director’s vision.

We are looking for people with experience working in a variety of styles, and can help with creating frames for pitches and pre-production. We’re looking for portfolios that clearly demonstrate a robust passion for conceptual thinking and creative execution. At Hornet, we’re all about championing our artists’ voices. We want to work with people who have distinct points of view and opinions all their own, but who also know when and how to actively listen, internalize, interpret, and create based on the individual project at hand. The Art Director must be creatively driven, well versed in executing various design styles based on our Directors’ creative direction, have the ability to adapt to creative trends, and explore & create new styles & techniques.
